Walk-Through Art Project

STEAM Fest participants will use floral images from the Vero Beach Museum of Art’s current exhibition Vero Collects: Hidden Treasures Revealed as inspiration to design, fold, and/or cut colorful kirigami flowers, and then watch them “bloom” in water. Using high quality water color markers and oil-based pens, students will create beautiful flowers that blossom when submerged in water while learning about absorption, osmosis, diffusion, and solubility.  Families can bloom their flowers at STEAM Fest or take them home.
